Pressure test

Pressure test

Leaking wastewater from leaky pipes in the building can result in major damage occurring immediately or in the foreseeable future.
This can result in high renovation costs (bricklayers, plumbing, etc.) and not to forget the enormous effort to repair all damage that has occurred.
With our leak test system, the leak tightness of lines can be checked and guaranteed during every phase of their useful life. The test methods used meet the statutory test requirements of the SIA 190 standard and the VSA guideline for leak tests on wastewater systems. The data from these environmentally relevant investigations, together with the evaluation of hydraulic influencing factors, serve as the basis for a reliable structural and operational condition assessment. Based on this, any necessary renovation measures can be worked out in a targeted manner.

Leak test using pressure measurement

When measuring pressure, the amount of air escaping from the line is not measured directly. The effect of the amount of leakage on the test pressure trapped in the line is measured.
The pressure drop or pressure increase depends on the size of the volume to be tested.
A pressure or vacuum is applied to the line for the leak test. The change in pressure caused by the leakage is then measured and analysed.
The test setup for this leak test is relatively simple and can be automated.
